We moved to a small house in a small quiet village of the Netherlands. It had chocolate and purple walls on the inside and the back patio garden had nothing but a few weeds. After repainting and moving furniture in we went to work on the garden. We extended the height of the back fence and planted some vines to fill it in to add privacy. The local garden store was fun to visit now and then to get a couple plants. On the other side of the back fence are 5 trees that give the birds a nice habitat so we included feeding the birds.
The 5th year the pandemic started so we stayed home a little more in the garden and fed the birds who were all taking care of an explosion of babies (over 28). Feeding them bird seed and peanuts created healthier parents and much stronger babies than we had seen previous years. The different insects helped with the garden plants which were filling in nicely and we then realized we had taken a dead garden and inadvertently turned it into a full of abundant life garden.
